Stevan Aničić was born on November 30th, 1937 in the village Debelja, Municipality of Nova Varoš, Serbia. He attended Primary School in Štitkovo and High School in Nova Varoš and Prijepolje. In 1964 he graduated from the Faculty of Mining and Geology, University of Belgrade. Until the year 2000, he worked as an engineer of geology. During his career he wrote more than a dozen technical papers related to his work.
Stevan paints, writes humoresques, poetry, aphorisms and collects Serbian proverbs and sayings. At the open aphorism contest published in 1990 in national newspapers „Politika“ Stevan won first prize. In 2004. he published his first book of aphorisms „Genes can't die”.
He lives and works in Belgrade.
